Getting Started with Alfrodin

Install the add-in and activate your license in just a few minutes.

Install the Add-In

Individual Users

From Microsoft Marketplace

  1. Open Outlook, Word, Excel or PowerPoint
  2. Click Home → Add-ins (in older versions: Insert → Get Add-ins)
  3. Search for "Alfrodin"
  4. Click "Add" to install
IT Administrators

Centralized Deployment

  1. Open the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
  2. Go to Settings → Integrated Apps
  3. Search for "Alfrodin" in Microsoft Apps
  4. Deploy to the desired users or groups
ⓘ Alfrodin consists of two add-ins in the Microsoft Store. Please install Alfrodin‑Outlook in Microsoft Outlook and Alfrodin‑Office in Word, Excel or PowerPoint.

Activate Your License

Marketplace customers

Automatic activation

  1. Admin approves the subscription in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
  2. Admin clicks "Configure SaaS account" → redirected to the Alfrodin activation page
  3. Alfrodin activation page confirms the license (no manual steps needed)
  4. Users see Alfrodin unlocked automatically when they sign in with their M365 account (SSO)
ⓘ No license key needed - the subscription is tied to your M365 tenant.

Manual activation with license key

  1. Check your inbox for the license key email from Digistore24
  2. Open Alfrodin in any Office app
  3. Click "Enter License Key" in the license dialog
  4. Paste your key (format ALF-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and click "Activate"

Connect to Alfresco

  1. Enter your Alfresco server URL (e.g. https://alfresco.yourcompany.com)
  2. Enter your Alfresco username and password
  3. Click "Connect"
ⓘ Alfrodin supports Alfresco Community & Enterprise versions 6.x, 7.x, and 23.x. Your Alfresco server must be reachable via HTTPS from your network.

  • Microsoft 365 (desktop & web)
  • Office 2021 or newer
  • Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Windows, macOS, Web
  • Office 2019 or older is not supported

Alfresco Server

  • Alfresco Community or Enterprise
  • Version 6.x, 7.x, or 23.x
  • HTTPS access from your network
  • Alfresco REST API enabled
ⓘ Alfrodin runs inside the modern web engine built into Microsoft 365 and Office 2021+ - Edge WebView2 on Windows, WebKit on macOS. No extra installation is required. Only older Windows versions of Office (2019 and earlier) use a legacy engine and are not supported. Office for the web works in any modern browser.
